This year is going to be positive. I can feel it. I am not only hoping it will be better, I know it will be better, because I make it so. I have the power to change and make positive choices in my life.
Perhaps this year will bring positive changes for the city I reside in with the gay community and the bigots and ignorant people who do not understand or want to understand LGBT (Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgendered) people.
As always, I will hold my head up high and charge forward. If the current young generation now does not change things or force change in simple ways such as holding hands, PDA (simple kisses or hugs) etc then LGBT rights will not change. Simply because things are legal in Canada, does not make acceptance. It helps, but it's also up to us (allies of LGBT people, or LGBT people) to change.
Remember that. :) It gets better.
